Activities at European level

In the field of media policy, the SMC represents Luxembourg in the following working groups:

• Audiovisual Working Group (Council of the European Union)
  This working group covers issues related to the audiovisual and cinematographic policy of the European Union and prepares the corresponding Council of Ministers.

• Contact Committee Meetings | Building Europe's Digital Future (europa.eu)
  This committee assists Member States in the implementation of the AVMS Directive. It is consulted on all questions arising in connection with the directive and also discusses current topics related to audiovisual policy.

• Steering Committee on Media and Information Society (CDMSI) (Council of Europe)
  The CDMSI oversees the work of the Council of Europe in the field of the media, information society and data protection, and advises the Committee of Ministers on all matters falling within its competence, with a particular focus on the protection and promotion of human rights.
